Questions, answered plainly.
Everything people actually ask us about verification, authenticity and what to do when something feels off.
1. Does every Bin Ariff perfume have a QR code?expand_more
Yes — every authentic box carries one. If a box has no QR code, or the code has been covered, cut into or stuck over with a sticker, treat that as a reason to ask questions before you buy.
2. I scanned the code and it says “not found.” Does that mean my perfume is fake?expand_more
Not automatically. A scan can fail because of a scratched code, a bad connection, or a camera that won't focus. Try again in better light and closer in. If it still doesn't recognise the code, send us photos through the contact page and we'll check it properly with you.
3. Do I need to download an app to verify?expand_more
No. Your phone's camera will open the verification page. If your camera won't pick up QR codes, any free QR reader works.
4. What does the verification page actually show me?expand_more
The perfume's name, its collection, and whether the code is recognised. You can then match those details against the box in your hand.
5. Can a fake box carry a real code?expand_more
One code belongs to one bottle. If you scan and the perfume name on the screen doesn't match what you're holding, that's your answer — the bottle and the code don't belong together. Tell us and go back to the seller.
6. My code scans fine, but the scent smells different from last time. Should I worry?expand_more
Fragrances can shift slightly with time, storage and heat, and some batches differ in the first hour. But “different” in a harsh or thin way is worth a second look. Check the seal, the printing quality of the box and the spelling on the label. If something still feels off, message us with photos.
7. I bought from a reseller or online marketplace. Can I still verify?expand_more
Yes — the code works whoever you bought from. That's the point. If a seller refuses to show you the box, or asks you not to open the cellophane before paying, walk away.
8. Where can I buy genuine Bin Ariff perfume?expand_more
From us directly and from authorised stockists. If you're unsure about a particular shop or listing, ask us before you pay. We'd rather answer a question than have you receive a bottle you can't trust.
